A Tech Job Amidst a Pandemic

I had never planned my career until the fifth semester of my college when I realized that I would be unemployed in another six months. That’s when my friend recommended Newton School to me. Initially, I was apprehensive and didn’t believe in their guaranteed jobs policy but I think my experience speaks for itself now!

During my college days, I used to focus only on theory and like any other student would start preparing for examinations the night before. I was worried about DSA and never paid attention to coding. It was in Newton School where I realized the importance of practical knowledge in the technology industry. The projects given to me at Newton School based on JavaScript, C++ was worth putting up on my resume.

My mentors and instructors helped me to overcome my fears and just focus on learning. A few of my mentors were very interactive and helped me throughout my coding journey. I had given an interview during my college but I was nervous to attend the mock interviews. I would procrastinate the interview but the team members calmed me down and trained me for the same.

When I had applied for jobs through Newton School, I was mentally prepared that I might not get a job until the Pandemic is over. But then I received a call from my instructor that I had secured a job with a good package. I couldn’t believe it and I had to show my offer letter to everyone to confirm that I really did get a job! My happiness had no limits.
